Short version: you live near these people.
This is not an emergency service
Lakeview Live is not monitored continuously. If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency number or campus safety directly. Do not rely on a post or a report here to summon help.
Don’t be a menace
You live near the people you are talking to. That is the whole point of this app, and it is also why the line is stricter here than on a public forum.
- No harassment, bullying, hate, threats, or sexual harassment.
- No posting someone else's personal information — including room numbers, schedules, or contact details.
- No impersonating another resident, staff member, or official account.
- No spam, scams, or promotion dressed up as a plan.
- Nothing that pushes someone into an unsafe situation, a restricted area, or anything illegal.
What anonymous actually means
Anonymous posts hide your name from other residents. They are not invisible to moderation. Every post keeps an internal record of who wrote it, used only for rate limits, reports, and authorised safety review — never shown to your neighbours, and never to floor representatives.
What we do not collect
- Your exact room number. There is no field for it anywhere in this app.
- Your location. Nothing here tracks where you are.
- Your email address on your profile, unless you put it there yourself.
A public profile is optional. You can use Lakeview Live without one, and you can remove any field at any time.
Reporting
Every post, comment, activity, poll, and profile has a report action. Reports go to a moderator queue; serious categories are prioritised immediately. You can also block or mute another resident, and they are not told that you did.
